24th Session of the TIA Strategic Council

Tunisia Investment Authority held the 24th session of its Strategic Council on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, chaired by Mr. Jalel Tebib.

This session focused on the Vietnam’s experience in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), and reviewing the draft report on the assessment of Tunisia’s investment framework for 2025.

Vietnam’s experience in investment attraction

The first session was dedicated to present Vietnam’s Experience in investment attraction by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nam, Founder and CEO of IPAVIETNAM. He outlined the key reforms that have positioned Vietnam as a high-performing destination for FDI. The discussion also opened perspectives for enhanced economic cooperation between Tunisia and Vietnam.

Assessment of Tunisia’s Investment Framework for 2025

Next, a presentation on the draft report assessing Tunisia’s investment framework for 2025 was delivered by TIA team. The report assesses the Tunisian investment climate based on international benchmarking and structured feedback from both public and private stakeholders. It reviews the reforms undertaken in 2025 and identifies the remaining structural challenges.

During the discussions, the Strategic Council members emphasized the need to accelerate key structural reforms and the importance of adopting a proactive and agile approach by investment promotion agencies in response to ongoing geopolitical transformations.

This session served as a practical analytical platform, drawing on international best practices and an evidence-based assessment grounded in national realities and tools.
