THE GROUP OF TUNISIAN AEROSPACE INDUSTRY (GITAS)

Created in 2006, GITAS is a group of 51 Tunisian and foreign companies operating in the aeronautics and space sectors concentrated around 4 major poles: Greater Tunis, the Sahel, Soliman and Zaghouan.

The GITAS has as mission to :

  • Promote exchanges, collaboration and synergies between companies in the aerospace sector established in Tunisia
  • Participate to the development of a favorable environment for the aerospace industry
  • Promote the emergence of local suppliers with the necessary approvals
  • Participate actively and directly in the implementation of training modules adapted to the current and future needs of the aerospace industry

STELIA AEROSPACE

STELIA AEROSPACE Tunisia is in the area of MGhira (south of Tunis) and covers on approximately 15’000 m2. The site is specialized in the aerostructures’ assembly (most notably for the A320) and bring together a network of partners such as FIGEAC AERO, MECAHERS AEROSPACE, CORSE COMPOSITE within a park of 20ha, thus creating one of the most integrated and unique aeronautical park in the region

SAFRAN

SAFRAN is a one of the leading aircraft equipment and high-technology industrial groups worldwide Established in Tunisia in 2003, (formerly ZODIAC AEROSPACE), the company employs more than 3500 employees and has established in Tunisia one of the most important R&D centers at the regional level.

CCA

Established in 2010, the Tunisian 120 employees’ site is one of the leading specialists in the development of complex parts in composite materials most notably for the Airbus programs. CCA has announced in late 2019 the development of a new 10,000 m² site to triple its production capacity (+400 new employees) and will adopt new 4.0 industry best practices

MECAHERS AEROSPACE

MECAHERS AEROSPACE is specialized in the manufacturing of elementary sheet metal and welding parts but also in the production of complete electric cabinets. In 2016, the Tunisian site produced two million elementary parts and more than 280 electric cabinets for the AIRBUS A320, A330 and A350 programs
