Chomarat is an independent industrial group that has become a benchmark in the world of composite materials and technical textiles (composites reinforcements, construction reinforcements, and Coatings & Films – Textiles) and has four industrial sites in France, Tunisia, the United States and China CHOMARAT settled in Tunisia more than 30 years ago and has now four production sites and a total workforce of 650 employees
SIOEN INDUSTRIES is among the global leaders in the coated technical textiles market and in industrial protective clothing. In 2010, the group achieved a turnover of 292 million € and employs 4,579 people in 34 subsidiaries located in 14 countries. In Tunisia, the group created 3 subsidiaries, employing together more than 800 persons focusing the safety and protective clothing both for the national and the international markets.
HEYTENS is the leader in window coverings in Europe and specialist in textile accessorizing. Located in the region of Chebba, in a building of 6,000 m², the Tunisian site (SBM Tunisia) is employing more than 450 people. The Tunisian site mainly produces curtains, blinds and linen articles for the international markets
Besides of R&D centers, Tunisia is also home to several integrated business parks established as part of the national strategy for the development and promotion of scientific research and offering multiple cross-sectoral value creation and synergies with the pharmaceutical industry

Elgazala Technopark hosts various support institutions including 3 higher education institutions, research and development labs, training centers and business and projects incubators the aim of creating synergy and cross-fertilization between these actors.
